Chelsea confirm transfer announcement to happen before deadline

English Premier League outfit Chelsea have given the hint that there will be an official announcement for a new player before the end of the winter transfer window.

The West London outfit have been able to secure the signature of Christian Pulisic from German Bundesliga outfit before returning him for a loan spell but they have also lost Spain international Cesc Fabregas to French Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco.

Hence, there is a need to replace the former Barcelona and Arsenal man as they battle to keep the top four spot in the English Premier League table.

Assistant coach and football legend Gianfranco Zola has made it clear that the West London side are already in talks, stressing that he expects an announcement to be made before the end of the winter window.

Although, the Blues assistant confessed not to be in the position to make comments on the club’s transfer activities but made it clear that the club are aware of the fact that their Champions League qualifiers chase would be jeopardized should they lack options in case of injury situations.

Meanwhile, a number of players including Italian Serie A outfit Cagliari star player Nicolo Barella is already being linked with a deal expected to fall through.
