Premier League heavyweights Chelsea have turned down a loan bid from Italian Serie A champions Juventus for one of their defenders.

Italian media outlet Tuttomercato revealed that the Old Lady made a loan bid to sign Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen in this winter transfer window and it was swiftly rejected by the Stamford Bridge outfit.

Chelsea want to keep the Danish international center back at the club in their bid for major honors in four competitions.

The Blues are still going strong in the Premier League, FA Cup, and the Europa League.

They have reached the Carabao Cup final following their penalty shootout victory over London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in their semifinal second leg clash at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night.

Chelsea will face holders Manchester City in the final clash billed for the Wembley Stadium on February 24.

Andreas Christensen previously talked about his desire to leave Chelsea in this January transfer window in search of more playing opportunities.

The 22-year-old has had to contend with the fact that club manager Maurizio Sarri prefer the center back partnership of David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger.

He has played just 12 times for Chelsea since Italian tactician Sarri took over at the start of the season.
