Premier League giants Manchester United have received a big transfer blow following the news that Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde won’t consider the idea of selling Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho.
The Daily Express claim that the Barca boss is not ready to entertain the thoughts of selling Coutinho who has struggled to adapt to his methods at the Nou Camp.
Coutinho is attracting the interest of major Premier League clubs like Cheese and Manchester United.
Earlier reports had claimed that Manchester United will make a £100m transfer swoop for him.
The 26-year-old could make a return to the Premier League just a year after he swapped the English top flight for Spain.
Coutinho joined Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona from Premier League leaders Liverpool after both clubs agreed on a deal believed to be around £142m.
He has not been able to secure a starting spot in the Barcelona team despite the fact that he was part of the double-winning squad last season.
Coutinho won both the Spanish La Liga title and the Spanish Copa Del Rey with the Catalans in the last campaign.
The Brazilian international star has started just two of the last six games in the Spanish La Liga under the guidance of Ernesto Valverde.
