Liverpool still keen on the service of Bundesliga striker

English Premier League leaders Liverpool are yet to let go in the pursuit of German Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner as they are positive of landing him in this winter window.

The reports claim that the Merseyside team are willing to make Timo Werner the replacement for departed Dominic Solanke who left the Anfield on a £17 million fee to Bournemouth.

Liverpool are still hopeful to part ways with Divoc Origi and Daniel Sturridge as they are both keen to quit the club and that is why the Reds are bent on having Timo Werner so as to have enough options for the task ahead of the team.

A number of clubs had indicated interest in Timo Werner, especially North London outfit Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund but the Reds are now alone in the race as other suitors have given up their chase.

The report, therefore, claims that Liverpool will hope to convince the German Bundesliga with a luring deal as they prepare an offer to submit before the end of this January winter transfer window.

However, Timo Werner has been impressive this season which is the reason why his German side are keen on having him stay but talks of a new deal has been stalled.
