Arsenal legend Martin Keown has called on the club to back manager Unai Emery by splashing the cash on new players to improve the squad.
Former Gunners defender Keown made this known while he was doing his punditry work on BT Sport as monitored by the Daily Mail.
Martin Keown was impressed with Unai Emery and the way that his Arsenal team saw off top four rivals Chelsea in their Premier League clash on Saturday evening.
The Gunners were able to boost their top four hopes with a 2-0 win over the Blues courtesy goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Laurent Koscielny.
Both Arsenal goals came during the first half of the London Derby clash.
In his post-match reaction to the Chelsea game, Martin Keown said that the Arsenal manager (Unai Emery) is worth his weight in gold and that senior club officials should back him with new players.
He further questioned why Arsenal will let Aaron Ramsey leave the club following the failure to offer him a new deal.
The Welshman is expected to join Italian champions Juventus having already done his medical some days ago.
Recent reports claim that the former Cardiff City player has signed a pre-contract agreement with the Italians.
