Turkish side end Liverpool’s hope of January addition

English Premier League outfit Liverpool had thought that they will bring back Steven Caulker to help the squad through the second half of the season, especially with the number of injuries in the team.

But that will no longer happen as he has been snapped up by Turkish side Aytemiz Alanyaspor.

The England international defender is also respected at the Anfield and has been tipped to help serve as a defensive replacement but that will no longer happen with the latest development.

Steven Caulker joined Liverpool on loan in 2016 and was able to secure just six appearances under manager Jurgen Klopp before he found his way out as he could not break into the team.

With the situation at the Merseyside club where Virgil Van Dijk is only available central defender makes it necessary for the German boss to look out for an option and he was believed to be willing to return Steven Caulker on a loan spell knowing that he has improved in his game.

However, the Reds boss might not go ahead with other signings having lost out on Steven Caulker having earlier stated that he was not interested in this winter transfer window especially if his players remain fit although.
