How English Premier League side Chelsea won the race to sign German Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund star Christian Pulisic remains a surprise to many.
The West London side were the first to announce a major deal amongst the top English sides after they announced the signature of Christian Pulisic in this January window.
Following the announcement of the deal, an agreement was reached between both sides to have him return back to the German outfit on loan until the end of the season.
The West London side were not alone in the race as several European top guns also indicated interest in the star player and were keen to land him as well.
English Premier League leaders Liverpool were earlier leading it eh race to sign Christian Pulisic but withdrew which leaves the Stamford Bridge side and other big guns in the race.
However, Borussia Dortmund chief Michael Zorc noted that the Blues were not the only side ready to meet with the asking price but failed to explain how they won the race.
He stressed that ether was another club keen on the signature of the star player but how the West London side managed to win the race is unknown.
