Manchester United shot stopper David De Gea is ready to sign a contract extension at the club according to reports coming out of the British media.
According to the Daily Mail, the Spanish international will sign a new contract worth at least £300,000 per week as well as bonuses that could take his earnings at the club to the £500,000 mark.
Flop Alexis Sanchez is the highest paid player at Manchester United with wages and bonuses running to around £500,000 on a weekly basis following the four-and-a-half year deal that he signed in January 2018 when he joined from top four rivals Arsenal.
David De Gea has been attracting interests from clubs like French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Italian club Juventus with his long-term future still uncertain at Manchester United.
The Spaniard had six months remaining on his contract at Old Trafford before the club decided to exercise the additional year clause to take him to the end of the 2019/20 season at Manchester United.
The Red Devils might be forced to sell him in the summer when he’ll have just one year left on his contract without the option of any clause or risk losing him for free in the summer of 2020.
