Wolves Set To Offer Arsenal Target A New Contract
Arsenal have been dealt a blow on the transfer front following the news that defensive target Conor Coady will be offered a new contract to further secure his long-term future at the Molineux.
It was revealed that the Gunners are strongly interested in a move for Liverpudlian Conor Coady and will face the threat of rivals Liverpool for the English center back.
According to the Telegraph, newly promoted Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers have concluded plans to offer Conor Coady a contract extension at the club.
If he signs a new Wolverhampton Wanderers contract, Coady will see a significant increment on his present weekly wages.
He’s currently on £36,000 on a weekly basis.
Conor Coady signed the current deal in September 2017 thus taking him to the end of the 2020/21 season at the club.
The defensive aspect of the Arsenal team has proven to be problematic and Conor Coady could go a long way to rectifying that if the Gunners manage to secure his transfer.
Conor Coady has been able to marshall the Wolves back five this season and his qualities have not gone unnoticed.
The Gunners are in need of defensive reinforcements after conceding a whopping 32 goals in just 22 league games.
