Liverpool loanee Connor Randall has returned back to the Anfield after ending his loan spell at Rochdale due to an injury he sustained.
An official statement by Rochdale confirmed the player’s return to his owners at the Merseyside as they revealed that he had an unsuccessful stay at the club due to the injury he sustained which limited him to just three appearances.
Connor Randall has a fractured cheekbone and that was for his loan spell at the club, a development that has frustrated and an unhappy one for his parent club.
The 23-year-old has in the past had 8 appearances with the Reds first team before he was asked to leave on loan after failing to break into the team for regular playing time.
It is now unclear what the situation would be for Connor Randall but suggestions are that he would be returned on another loan spell should he regains his full fitness knowing that his return would not be to the pitch but to the treatment room.
However, expectations are that Liverpool will loan Connor Randall again when he fully returns or will be given out on a permanent basis as it is obvious that he is not in the plans of manager Jurgen Klopp.
