Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho has been heavily linked with a return to the Premier League with Manchester United in the past few days after just 12 months in Spain.
Italian media portal Calciomercato has revealed that the Red Devils can only sign the Brazilian international player on one condition.
It was revealed that Manchester United can sign the former Inter Milan playmaker if they offer a sizeable transfer fee for him with Barcelona eyeing a possible return to the Nou Camp for Paris Saint Germain (PSG) forward Neymar.
Brazilian superstar Neymar left Barcelona for PSG at the start of last season in a world-record deal worth £200m and has been linked with a move back to the Catalan giants after just 18 months.
He could replace compatriot Philippe Coutinho at the Nou Camp.
Coutinho, 26, signed for Barcelona in January 2018 in a deal that saw him become the third most expensive player in the history of world football behind the PSG duo of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
Liverpool were paid a whopping £142m for Philippe to swap England for Spain.
He has failed to secure a starting spot in the Barcelona team under manager Ernesto Valverde.
Coutinho has started just nine Spanish La Liga games this season, scoring four goals.
