Former Arsenal player Paul Marriner has berated the club and manager Unai Emery for letting Aaron Ramsey leave on a free transfer.
Ramsey, 28, is expected to have his medicals this weekend ahead of his free transfer move to Italian Serie A giants Juventus in the summer.
Marriner could not understand why Arsenal and Unai Emery will allow a quality player like Aaron Ramsey to leave the Emirates Stadium at the end of his current contract this summer.
The footballer turned pundit spoke about his former club, Unai Emery and Aaron Ramsey while he was on popular media outlet ESPN.
He went on to say that new signing Matteo Guendouzi is not ready to be a regular in the Arsenal midfielder and that Ramsey should have been given a run in the Arsenal midfield instead of the young French player who joined the Gunners from French second-tier side Lorient at the start of last season.
Paul Marriner questioned why Arsenal will let Aaron Ramsey leave the club for nothing before mentioning Manchester United flop, Alexis Sanchez.
Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez left the Gunners for top four rivals Manchester United in January 2018 in a swap deal involving Armenian international star Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Why we lost to Arsenal, Sarri
Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has given a hint on why his side suffered a humiliating 2-0 defeat in the hands of the North London outfit Arsenal on Saturday evening
The West London side were not only defeated but were outplayed by Arsenal which is the reason why the Italian boss lashes out on the players as he puts the blame on them.
It has been an inconsistent performance by the West London side since their defeat to Tottenham which ended their 18 games unbeaten run and that has to be corrected by the former Napoli manager.
However, he stated that he lost because some of the players in his team seem difficult to motivate as he noted that he had made efforts to do that after their defeat to the other North London side Tottenham but that has not worked yet with the defeat.
Meanwhile, the Blues boss is ready to take a part of the blame because his side failed to show up completely against the Gunners team.
However, the game between both sides have been reduced to three points which leave the race for a top-four finish very open and more competitive especially with United coming from behind.
Arsenal 2 : 0 Chelsea – Three talking points from the game
The Gunners returned to winning ways as they thrashed Chelsea 2-0 to the Emirates stadium in one of Saturday’s Premier League game.
The Blues had defeated Arsenal in Emery’s first game of the season, Maurizio Sarri’s side narrowly overcame the Gunners’ challenge 2-1 at Stamford Bridge last year.
However, yesterday’s game was totally different from the previous fixture in August 2018 as the North London club dominated the Blues for the most part of the game.
Emery’s men deservedly took the lead in the 14th minute when Lacazette powered a beautiful shot past Kepa Arrizabalaga who was busy all through the clash.
The home side doubled their lead after 25 minutes when Laurent Koscielny scored with his shoulder.
The Blues were made to chase the game before half time and they couldn’t find the back of the net throughout the mouthwatering and entertaining game.
Here are the top three talking points from the game.
There’s more to Ozil’s omission than Emery’s ‘tactical reason’
It has been long I saw Ozil play a full match. It’s either he was subbed out or he was subbed in by Emery.
In fact, it’s been a while he featured in Arsenal kit and Emery keeps providing ‘tactical reasons’ for the player’s regular omission.
In a game that’s as classic as Saturday’s fixture, every Arsenal fans would expect the German star to be in the starting lineup so as to create more chances with his creativity.
But the former Real Madrid playmaker was surprisingly left out of the starting XI which further suggested that there are off-field crises between the player and the Spanish tactician.
Arsenal vs Chelsea – Three talking points
The Blues were defeated by Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, thanks to goals from Lacazette and Laurent Koscielny.
However, here are the concluding part of the top three talking points that emerged during the encounter.
Morata’s switch to Madrid is imminent after another omission
Alvaro Morata’s move away from Stamford Bridge dominated transfer podcasts during the week as it is believed he could be heading back to La Liga later in the month.
Many rumour mongers revealed Maurizio Sarri has reached an agreement with AC Milan for Gonzalo Higuain who will serve as Morata’s short-term replacement for the rest of the campaign.
Despite being in top and perfect condition prior to Saturday’s fixture, Sarri decided to leave the striker out of his travelling squad which means the Spaniard is partially out of Stamford Bridge.
Next week will decide whether the 26-year-old is set for Atletico Madrid’s move or not.
Unai Emery’s substitutions must improve
Emery’s substitution has left so much to be desired since the start of the season and Saturday wasn’t exempted.
The Spanish manager surprisingly subbed out lively Alexandre Lacazette for Alex Iwobi in the 67th minute, a decision that didn’t go well with the Gunners fans who voiced their displeasure against the ex-Sevilla manager.
Lacazette scored the first goal of the night and he troubled the Blues defence throughout the day, he deserves to full-time action.
Saturday wasn’t Aubameyang’s day as he was quiet all through the night. The Gabonese ought to have been taken off for Iwobi, not Lacazette.
Irrespective of the Result, Arsenal remain in the fifth position with 44 points but they are now three points behind Chelsea in the race for Champions League spot next season
Ex-Premier League Midfielder Slams Arsenal For Big Transfer Mistake
Former Premier League midfielder Jack Collison has berated North London giants Arsenal for a costly transfer mistake.
The ex-West Ham United player slammed the Gunners for letting Aaron Ramsey leave the club.
Aaron Ramsey is all but a Juventus player after he signed a pre-contract agreement with the Old Lady having already undergone his medical ahead of a free transfer move this summer.
It was revealed that an official announcement is expected next month.
Ramsey is leaving Arsenal after senior club officials withdrew their offer of a new contract in September.
The Welshman is the longest serving player in the Arsenal squad with over a decade at the Emirates Stadium.
While speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live via the Daily Express, footballer turned pundit Jack Collison questioned why Arsenal will let a quality player like Ramsey leave the club before narrating how the huge salary handed to star player Mesut Ozil has come back to haunt the club in a big way.
2014 World Cup winner Ozil put pen to paper on a three-year contract worth £350,000 on a weekly basis last February to make him the highest paid earner in the history of the club.
Ramsey asked for a big salary increment as a result and that led to the withdrawal of the Gunners contract offer with the club citing footballing and financial reasons for the decision.
Napoli Join Race To Sign Germany-based Arsenal Target
Italian Serie A giants Napoli are the latest club to show an interest in Bayern Munich midfielder James Rodriguez.
The 27-year-old has been the subject of transfer interest from several European clubs following his recent struggles with the Bavarian giants.
Italian news portal Calciomercato revealed the interest of Napoli in the Colombian international star.
It was revealed that Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti wants to reunite with James Rodriguez whom he worked with while he was the Real Madrid manager.
Italian tactician Ancelotti was the Real Madrid manager when James Rodriguez signed for the Los Merengues in a big money transfer worth £63m from French Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco shortly after the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament in Brazil.
James Rodriguez is on a two-year loan deal at Bayern Munich from Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid having joined them before the start of last season with the Bavarian giants paying £11.5m for the loan with the option to sign the player permanently for just £37m.
Napoli can sign him for £37m if Bayern Munich fail to take up the above stated payment option or he could cost the Italians more money if the German champions decide to activate the aforementioned option.
Arsenal have been linked with a £3m payment for the remaining six months on his loan deal at Bayern but the player is set to stay at the Allianz Arena.
I prefer Bayern to Arsenal – star player confirms
Bayern Munich star James Rodriguez has decided to stay at the club despite the strong interest from several European clubs including Arsenal.
This was confirmed by the ESPN who claimed that sources close to the player revealed that he wants to stay at the Allianz Arena until the end of the season at the minimum and that Bayern would like to keep him at the club.
Earlier reports had claimed that North London giants Arsenal were keen on a move for him in the current transfer window in the bid to strengthen their creative options.
It was further revealed that the Gunners can sign the Colombian international playmaker on loan for the remainder of the season for just £3m.
The said fee is for the remaining six months on the two-year loan deal that he signed with the Bavarian giants whom the former FC Porto and AS Monaco player joined from Champions League holders Real Madrid at the start of the last campaign.
Bayern Munich were said to have paid a whooping sum of £11.5m for the loan deal with an option to buy him permanently for £37m this summer.
It remains to be seen whether the German champions will take up that option (buying him outrightly).
Nicholas Asks Unai Emery To Sell THREE Players
Former Arsenal player Charlie Nicholas has called on manager Unai Emery to sell three members of the playing squad at the club including the controversial Mesut Ozil.
German playmaker Ozil has been hugging the headlines for weeks after falling out with Unai Emery having failed to adapt to the new tactics/methods introduced by the Spaniard.
Mesut Ozil has been left out of the Arsenal squad for tactical reasons on several occasions including last weekend’s 1-0 away defeat at the hands of London rivals West Ham United in the Gunners’ last Premier League game.
Arsenal legend Charlie Nicholas spoke about the Arsenal squad while he was doing his punditry job on Sky Sports as monitored by the Metro.
He told the Gunners boss to sell the aforementioned Ozil and the defensive duo of Shkrodan Mustafi and Laurent Koscielny.
Nicholas is certain that Arsenal can get buyers for Ozil from the Chinese clubs if West Ham United forward Marko Arnautovic is attracting strong interest from a club in the Chinese Super League.
He also asked Unai Emery to release club skipper Laurent Koscielny and sell Shkrodan Mustafi as he tried to rebuild his defence.
The ex-Arsenal player had earlier said that he has already lost hope on a top-four finish.
Arsenal Will Spend Money On Transfers This Summer, Journalist Reveals
Experienced journalist Guillem Balague has revealed that Arsenal will spend money on transfers during this summer’s transfer window.
Arsenal have been in the spotlight for the better part of the January transfer window after club manager Unai Emery told reporters at a press conference that the Gunners don’t have money to spend on signings this month and that they can only sign players on loan.
The revelation from the Spanish tactician has led to an uproar amongst the Arsenal faithful who are at a loss as to why senior club officials can’t spend money on a playing squad crying out for reinforcements.
Guillem Balague via his transfer show monitored by Football London explained that Arsenal spent a lot of money in the last two transfer windows and that has handicapped the club in a big way in the current transfer window.
The Spanish La Liga expert went on to say that Arsenal will spend money on players in the summer.
Arsenal spent £70m on the quintet of Sokratis Papasthathopoulos, Lucas Torreira, Matteo Guendouzi, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Bernd Leno last summer and the spendings were preceded by a club-record transfer for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang last January as well as the big wages handed out to both Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the first few months of 2018.
Arsenal To Pay €2m Loan Deal For Top Transfer Target
Premier League giants Arsenal will reportedly pay a €2m loan fee for Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez after they reached an agreement with the Catalans over his transfer.
Spanish international star Denis Suarez has emerged as the Gunners’ top target in the January transfer window with Arsenal manager Unai Emery keen to reunite with his former player.
Denis Suarez played under the Spaniard while he was the Sevilla manager and the 25-year-old excelled a great deal under him.
He is a utility player that can play as a central midfielder and on the wings especially the left wing.

The loan fee was revealed by Spanish media outlet RAC1.
It was further disclosed that the Gunners will have to pay €20m at the end of the short-term loan contract this summer.
Denis Suarez is keen to leave Barcelona this month in search of more playing time.
The Spaniard has been a bit-part player for Barcelona under manager Ernesto Valverde this season.
He could be a direct replacement for Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey who’s almost certain to join Italian Serie A champions Juventus.
Ramsey has already agreed to a free transfer move to Juventus after undergoing his medical and an official announcement is expected next month.
Arsenal Offer Star Midfielder To Inter Milan
North London giants Arsenal have reportedly offered star midfielder Mesut Ozil to Italian Serie A side Inter Milan.
This was revealed by a publication from the Daily Star.
The Gunners are trying to offload 2014 World Cup winner Mesut Ozil to free up some funds for transfers.
The German is by far the highest paid player at the Emirates Stadium with weekly wages of £350,000.
He still has two-and-a-half years left on the three-year contract that he signed last February when former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was in charge.
Wenger has since been replaced by Spanish tactician Unai Emery who has dropped Mesut Ozil from the Arsenal squad on several occasions after the former Real Madrid playmaker failed to adapt to his tactics.
There are numerous interests from Italy, Turkey, and China in Mesut Ozil but the Gunners will find it hard to move him on due to his big wages.
Unai Emery still thinks he can be a part of his team on the long run following his latest interview.
The former Valencia and Almeria manager was speaking during his pre-match press conference on Thursday ahead of the crucial London Derby clash with Chelsea as the race for the top four hots up in the Premier League.
