Footballer turned pundit Paul Marriner believes that Barcelona forward Philippe Coutinho will be a fantastic signing for Premier League giants Manchester United.
The former Arsenal star made this known while he was doing his punditry job on popular media channel ESPN.
According to him, Brazilian international Coutinho would be a good addition to the Manchester United squad.
However, Paul Marriner pointed out that Philippe Coutinho should stay at the Nou Camp to fight for his place rather than move to Old Trafford where there’s uncertainty about the managerial position at the club.
Manchester United are without a permanent manager after Jose Mourinho was sacked by the club last month.
Former Red Devils striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is currently in charge of the team on an interim basis until the summer when the Old Trafford outfit would be expected to name a permanent manager.
Paul Marriner spoke about Coutinho on ESPN following the news that Manchester United are keen to sign him in a £100m deal.
Philippe Coutinho has failed to secure a regular starting berth in the Barcelona squad since he completed a £142m move to the Catalan club last season.
The 26-year-old has scored four goals in nine starts for Barcelona in the league this season.
