The man who could make Chelsea’s bid for Barella revealed

It has been reviled that Chelsea assistant coach Gianfranco Zola has been the man on the case of Italian Serie A outfit Cagliari star Nicolo Barella according to reports in Italy.

The reports claim that Gianfranco Zola now has daily contact through the phone with Nicolo Barella in order to convince him to join the Stamford Bridge with suggestions that it could play a role in convincing the player.

Nicolo Barella has been tipped to serve as a replacement in the West London midfield as they are set to bid goodbye to two of their stars in this winter transfer window.

Spanish star Cesc Fabregas and former Leicester City man Danny Drinkwater are both close to the exit door of the Stamford Bridge as they have failed to make an impact in the Sarri team which limited them to bench roles.

However, the 21-year-old has been tipped to carry on from where they stopped with the former Napoli boss keen on his signature knowing that he is has got age on his side.

Nicolo Barella is well known to Zola and the Chelsea assistant is hopeful to work with him in order to have a solid team that will ensure next season’s Champions League qualification.
