Italian champions Juventus have secured the free transfer signing of Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey in a deal worth £36m.
The latest development was revealed by respected Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano who also stated that his agent will travel to Italy to sign the contract.
Ramsey will join the Italians at the end of the season when he becomes a free agent upon the expiration of his Arsenal contract.
The deal with the Old Lady will see him earn around £7.2m annually over the next five years after tax meaning that his weekly wages would be around £140,000.
According to Fabrizio Romano, medicals and contract signing is what’s left before the official announcement of the agreement between Ramsey and Juventus.
Juventus were not the only club interested in him but it looks like the Italians have blown every competitor out of the waters.
German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich and the Italian trio of AC Milan, AS Roma and Inter Milan were also interested in the 28-year-old.
Premier League sides like Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United were keen on the transfer of the former Cardiff City midfielder.
Aaron Ramsey was not offered a new contract at Arsenal.
He has less than six months on his current deal with the Gunners.
Arsenal had earlier offered him a new contract before senior club officials withdrew their offer because of his huge financial demands.
