It has been reported that English Premier League side Chelsea are being stopped by league rivals Manchester United from securing the signature of Italian Serie A outfit Caligari midfielder Nicolo Barella.
According to reports, the West London side would have had a free run in securing the signature of the star player if the Red Devils had not shown up to indicate their interest as well.
The Old Trafford outfit are also keen on more additions in this January winter transfer window which is the reason why they are looking up to Nicolo Barella to hand them a boost for the second half of the season.
Also, the west Londoners are keen to land Nicolo Barella in order to serve as a replacement for Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas and former Leicester City man Danny Drinkwater who are on their way out of the club.
The Blues duo have protested their lack of appearance under manager Maurizio Sarri and have received the signal that they are not in the plans of the Italian manager which makes them seek a move away.
The Blues will have Nicolo Barella as a good fit as he is rated as one of the best midfielders in the Serie A with an asking price of about £34 million.
