Schalke midfielder Weston Mc Kennie is latest to be linked with a move to English Premier League leaders Liverpool as the Reds are believed to have turned their attention to him for this winter transfer window.

The American international has been impressive for Schalke this season since breaking into the first team from the 04 academy and has caught the attention of a number of clubs who are lined up for his signature.

English Premier League top guns like Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea are also linked with the player but are yet to make any substantial offer to secure his signature.

Already, the 20-year-old has already had seven international caps and 46 appearances under his belt for his club side and all of the appearances have given pundits reasons to talk about.

With the Merseyside club seeking to secure a replacement for James Milner, Jurgen Klopp sees Weston Mc Kennie as a perfect fit knowing he has the ability to play as an offensive and defensive player from the middle.

James Milner is not satisfied with the playing time at the Anfield which is a major reason why he seeks a move away and he is expected to secure a club in this January winter transfer window.
