North London giants Arsenal will have to fend off competition from the Premier League in their quest to sign Belgian international attacker Yannick Ferreira Carrasco from Chinese Super League outfit Dalian Yifang.
The Gunners are keen to boost their injury-depleted squad with new players in this January transfer window and they have identified the Belgian international as a possible transfer addition.
Football Talk revealed that Arsenal will need to see off Premier League top four rivals Manchester United in their quest to sign the 25-year-old.
Carrasco is rated at around £26m and the transfer fee won’t pose any problem to Arsenal or Manchester United.
Italian Serie A giants AC Milan are also interested in the former AS Monaco and Atletico Madrid star but his £170,000 weekly wages would definitely be a stumbling block for the seven-time European champions.
Yannick Carrasco is keen to return to Europe and he’s said to favour a move to Arsenal over Manchester United which could play a part in the Gunners’ winning the race to sign him.
He joined Chinese club Dalian Yifang from Atletico Madrid last year and has scored seven goals in 25 appearances for the club in all competitions.
He could be a direct replacement for the injured Danny Welbeck.
