English Premier League side Chelsea are unsuccessful in their bid to snap up Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson as they had their bid rejected by the league side.
The West London side are long term suitors of the player and had kept tabs on him to ensure he joins the Stamford Bridge in this January winter transfer window.
It was earlier anticipated that Bournemouth had to welcome the signature of Liverpool young striker Dominic Solanke so as to pave way for the departure of Callum Wilson.
That, however, did not work as insinuated as the Premier League side are bent on keeping hold of their player how has been impressive for the Cherries so far this season.
There is probably an attempt by The Cherries to make a statement as they have already secured Solanke as well as Nathaniel Clyne on loan deals without letting anyone away aside Jermain Defoe who was sent out on loan to Rangers.
However, the Blues seem to have turned their attention to French Lige 1 giants Paris Saint Germain star Edinson Cavani as they hope to strengthen their attack to be able to record a successful second half of the season knowing that the mission is to qualify for the Champions League next season.
