European champions Real Madrid have reportedly joined the race to sign FC Porto defender Eder Militao.
The Daily Mirror claim that the recently crowned World Club Cup champions are interested in a move for the Brazilian international star.
Eder Militao has been in very good form for Portuguese Super League champions FC Porto since he signed for the club last summer.
The 20-year-old swapped Brazilian Serie A club Sao Paulo for FC Porto in the summer of 2018.
His form for the Portuguese champions has attracted the interests of Premier League sides like Liverpool and Manchester United.
Interested clubs including Manchester United can get the defender for just £42.5m due to the get-out clause in his current deal with FC Porto.
Eder Militao is a utility player who can play as a centre back, at right-back and as a defensive midfielder.
The young Brazilian player featured prominently for Sao Paulo as a right-back and has played as a central defender for the majority of his career at FC Porto.
He would be a quality addition to a Manchester United squad in need of defensive reinforcements but the Red Devils will have to contend with the latest interest shown by Champions League holders Real Madrid.
