Arsenal could be completing their first signing at the ongoing transfer market any time soon as they are closer to sealing a deal with Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez.
Spanish media Diario Gol reported earlier today that the Gunners are in the final phase of discussion with the player’s representative and a deal could be sealed before the end of next week.
Suarez is not in Valverde’s plan for the campaign and he hasn’t featured for the Blaugrana so far this season.
It is believed that Emery is keen to let go of Mesut Ozil, having failed to feature him more prominently since he took over from Wenger.
Manchester United are said to be keeping close tabs on the former Real Madrid playmaker as Solskjaer look to bolster his team at the middle of the park.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are also in close contact with the Spaniard, hoping to block the Gunners reported bid for his signature.
Chelsea, who completed Christian Pulisic’s signature from Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday, are preparing for Cesc Fabregas’ departure, therefore they want Suarez as his replacement.
AC Milan are also credited with an interest for the Barcelona want-away midfielder. The Serie A side have reportedly tabled a loan deal for Suarez’s services but the Catalans might turn down the offer because they want to sell him outrightly.
As at this moment, neither Valverde nor the player’s agent has revealed the player’s decision to leave Camp Nou this winter but we will keep monitoring how event unfold as regards to Denis Suarez’s future.
