Predicted Liverpool XI against Man City

The biggest clash of the Premier League this new year will roll today Thursday when Premier League leaders Liverpool will clash with title contenders Manchester City.

The highly anticipated game is tipped to have an influence in who goes out to win the league as Reds maintain a six-point lead at the top of the league table.

However, both sides are expected to give the best of their performances and most importantly, a squad so as to have the day.

However, Brazilian stopper Alisson Becker is sure to stand in between the sticks to continue his impressive performance in his debut season for the Reds.

At the defence, there is no issue with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson at the full backs which mean they will get the nod to be on the starting list in addition to the solid partnership of Virgil Van Dijk and Dejan Lovren in the absence of Joe Gomez to complete the defence at the middle.

Also, Fabinho has become a regular at the midfield and he could line up with Georgino Wijnaldum while Captain Jordan Henderson could be recalled to start ahead of Xherdan Shaqiri.

However, there is no doing away with the trio forward Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane at the attack to give City a good fight.

Alisson, Robertson, Van Dijk, Lovren, Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Salah, Mane, Firmino.
