Arsenal manager Unai Emery has denied that the North Londoners have made a bid to sign Chelsea defender Gary Cahill in the January transfer window.
Recent reports had claimed that the former Aston Villa and Bolton Wanderers player is in line to join the Gunners this month but Spanish tactician Unai Emery has dispelled such rumours.
The Arsenal manager dismissed the transfer rumours surrounding Chelsea centre back Gary Cahill during his post-match press conference after his Gunners team thrashed London rivals Fulham 4-1 at home in a Premier League clash to bounce back from the 5-1 thrashing that they suffered at the hands of their hosts and league leaders Liverpool at the weekend.
Granit Xhaka, Alexandre Lacazette, substitute Aaron Ramsey and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were on target for the home side, while substitute Abdoulaye Kamara scored what proved to be the consolation goal for the Cottagers.
Arsenal were unable to keep a clean sheet to further strengthen the belief that the Gunners need a new centre back like Gary Cahill.
The North London giants have been able to keep just three clean sheets in 21 Premier League games since the start of the season.
In addition, they also have one of the worst defensive records in the league this season.
