English Premier League outfit Chelsea could just wrap up their first deal in the winter transfer window following reports that Turkish outfit Fenerbahce’s president is in London to finalize the deal for Cesc Fabregas.
The Spanish international has been speculated to be on his way from the club owing to the lack of playing time under manager Maurizio Sarri which has not been made secret.
The former Barcelona man has made it clear that despite being over 30 years of age, he is still fit to play active football but his call to the Italian boss has failed to yield any results.
This, therefore, sets him on the exit path with several clubs lined up for the signature of the experienced and quality midfielder.
However, Turkish journalist Sercan Hamzaoglu allege that Fenerbahce president Ali Koc is already in London to conclude talks with the West London club so that they can proceed with the official announcement that a deal has been struck.
Fabregas is known for his great quality on the pitch and has got one of the best passes across Europe but he has been favoured behind England international Ross Barkley in the Sarri team which he feels cannot be justified by the manager.
