English Premier League outfit Chelsea are reported to have received a loan offer from Serie A outfit Lazio for central defender Davide Zappacosta to have him join them for the remaining part of the season.
Calcio Mercato reports that the Serie A outfit are desperate to land Davide Zappacosta who is believed to be a perfect solution to the club’s defensive crisis.
Also, Davide Zappacosta is keen to leave the Stamford Bridge as he has found it difficult to find playing time under manager Maurizio Sarri, having gone down the pecking order in the list of defenders.
So far this season, Davide Zappacosta has seen just two games this season with both coming from the bench, a development that has left him frustrated and threatened his career as a result of his lack of playing time.
However, the West London side are expected to give their nod to the loan offer for Davide Zappacosta but they might be stopped by the need to have more options in this critical time of the league.
The Blues will do all it takes to cement their fourth position so as not to slip off as they wish to retune back to Champions League football next season.
