Chelsea and Brazilian forward Willian has expressed concerns over the future of his fellow countryman at the Stamford Bridge as he stated that he hopes David Luiz stays longer time at the West London side.

The contract of the former PSG defender runs out at the end of the season and there has been no agreement so far on a new contract with his deal running into the last six months.

The Brazilian is reported to have been handed a 1-year deal which he refused as he requested for more years to remain at the Stamford Bridge.

Meanwhile, the Blues have got a tradition of not handing more than a one-year contract extension to players who are over 30 years of age with David Luiz wanting the tradition broken because of him.

This means he might be one his way at the end of the season and also permitted to speak with suitors in this January window to agree on a deal in principle.

However, Willian will hope to have David Luiz stay longer because of his importance in the team which would be missed if she eventually leaves the club.

There is, however, no chance that Chelsea will please David Luiz against an already established structure.
