Emerging reports reveal that Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan have held talks with embattled Arsenal player Mesut Ozil with the hope if snapping him up in the winter transfer window which reopens in coming weeks.

The reports claim that talks with the German international have reached an advanced stage as he has clearly gotten the body language that manager Unai Emery will not mind seeing him leave the Emirates Stadium.

Mesut Ozil has fallen out of favour with the Spanish boss as a result of his inconsistent performance which has been a minus to the team.

However, Nerazzurri are in need a new and quality midfielder and they have pointed to Mesut Ozil as a possible fit at the San Siro knowing that he is no longer happy at the North London club.

The 30-year-old star is believed to be worth about €45m but he could cost more because of his experience and quality, in addition to the number of interests in him.

So far, the former Real Madrid player German footballer has played a total of 11 matches and scored 4 goals and with 2 assists across all competition.

However, Ozil was accused of same inconsistent performance at the national teal which led to his untimely retirement.
