Former Liverpool player Steve Nicol believes that Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is desperate to leave the club when the transfer window reopens in three days time.
Nicol presently works as a pundit for ESPN and he spoke about the 2014 World Cup winner on the platform in the wake of his nightmarish experience during the game against South Coast club Brighton and Hove Albion.
According to him, Mesut Ozil is fed up with life under new Gunners boss Unai Emery and that he wants to leave Arsenal in the January transfer window.
Mesut Ozil was surprisingly substituted during the halftime interval of the Brighton game in the Premier League.
He was replaced by Super Eagles of Nigeria player Alex Iwobi only for the Gunners to struggle badly without him.
Arsenal failed to produce any shot on target throughout the second half of the game which ended in a 1-1 draw.
Ozil had earlier been dropped from the Arsenal squad for the Carabao Cup clash with Tottenham Hotspur and he was missed as the Gunners crashed out of the competition at the quarterfinal stage via a 2-0 loss at home.
The German has been attracting interests from clubs like Inter Milan, Manchester United and Istanbul Basaksehir with his Arsenal future unclear.
