West London outfit Chelsea have been warned against going for the signature of World Cup winner Mats Hummels in the winter transfer window which reopens in coming weeks
The Blues boss Maurizio Sarri is keen to add more defenders to his squad as the race for the top four gets tougher and knowing that he could part ways with some of his defenders.
Brazilian David Luiz is believed to be on his way out after failing to agree on a new contract with the management of the club while the contract of Antonio Rudiger runs out at the end of the season.
However, this makes the Blues linked with the former Germany international captain, owing to his quality and experience which could be a driving force for Chelsea.
In his reaction to the report of a move for Mats Hummels, pundit Steve Nicol insist that the German international is never the answer to the shortage of defensive options at the club.
According to the pundit, Mats Hummels seems to be tired in his leg and does not make good decisions anymore which makes him unfit for the strength level and competition at the Premier League.
Meanwhile, the Blues might decide to look away from Mats Hummels but there is no doubt they will be going all out for more additions.
