Emerging reports on Footballfancast still links Barcelona star Philippe Coutinho back to Liverpool after forcing a move away to the Spanish La Liga giants.

Philippe Coutinho was Liverpool’s star before the coming of Egyptian Mohamed Salah but things have changed for the Brazilian as he is no longer the player he used to be for the Catalans at Camp Nou.

There is no doubt also that the former Reds man has fallen out with Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde and this is evident in him starting one of Barcelona’s four games across all competitions.

So far he has scored five goals this season but the Brazilian is obviously not happy with the Spanish giants which ensured the speculations that he might be on his way back.

Philippe Coutinho has had to compete with Argentina star Lionel Messi and French man Ousmane Dembele which makes it difficult for him to go through.

However, this leaves the door open for the Merseyside club to attempt to return him back so as to strengthen their squad in their bid to win the first major title in a long while.

Meanwhile, the Reds are now six points clear on the Premier League table ahead of second place Tottenham.
