Premier League table-toppers Liverpool have reportedly joined their rivals in the race to sign in-form Lille winger Nicolas Pepe ahead of the January transfer window.
The publication from Spanish media portal Don Balon via Caughtoffside says that the Reds will rival Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester United for Nicolas Pepe.
The Ivorian international forward has been in sensational form for his French Ligue 1 side this season.
He has scored 12 goals in the French Ligue 1 since the start of the season.
Pepe is the second leading goalscorer in the French top flight ahead of more established names like the Paris Saint Germain (PSG) duo of Neymar and Edinson Cavani.
The Ivorian attacker is behind PSG forward Kylian Mbappe only on the scoring chart.
Nicolas Pepe came to prominence for Lille in the last campaign as his goal contributions led his French Ligue 1 club away from the relegation zone at the end of the season.
Interested clubs have been quoted the asking price of £72m (€80m) for the 23-year-old.
Arsenal were said to be the favourites for Pepe until now with the Gunners eyeing him as a replacement for the injured Danny Welbeck.
England forward Danny Welbeck has been ruled out of action until next summer.
