Sky Sports journalist Adam Bate has suggested that the English Premier League leaders Liverpool might not involve in the coming winter transfer window which reopens in coming weeks.

According to him, the Reds team are doing good so far and might not need to strengthen the team ahead of the second half of the season in their bid for a title win.

The Merseyside club are entering into the Christmas period as league leaders with four points clear above defending Champions Manchester City.

The Reds have been able to pull most number of wins with less and clean sheets, all thanks to new goalkeeper Alisson Becker and former Southampton defender Virgil Van Dijk who has received lots of praise from pundits and fans.

However, the Sky Sports pundit noted that the only worry with the Liverpool team is the temporal defence crisis with Joe Gomez and Joel Matip’s injury which is the only condition why there could be a ‘panic’ buy in January.

According to him, there is no other concern in the team with all other department looking solid and the team, in general, having great depth.

However, manager Jurgen Klopp will seek to get closer to his first title as Liverpool boss in three years when he faces Newcastle on Boxing Day.
