It has been reported that English Premier League outfit Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri prefers to have Argentina international Gonzalo Higuain in his team to Alvaro Morata.
This makes the Italian boss clamour for the signature of the 31-year-old AC Milan striker ahead of the winter transfer window which reopens in coming days.
The former Napoli boss seems frustrated with his blunt attack with Spanish striker Alvaro Morata and French forward Olivier Giroud not finding the back of the net to help the team.
Sarri is believed to be mounting pressure on the management of the West London club to secure the signature of the former Napoli man in coming days.
Gonzalo Higuain has scored five goals this season in the 12 games under his belt which is satisfactory to the Chelsea boss who had missed out on him in the last summer window.
Suggestions are that the Blues have failed to finds a replacement for Spanish striker Diego Costa who left in 2017 to La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid and Sarri is of the opinion that Gonzalo Higuain can be the replacement.
The West London side are currently fourth in the Premier League table but fall at risk of losing out of the spot to North London rivals Arsenal who are now fifth but with same points.
