Liverpool in pole position to land £40m-rated prolific winger

English Premier League leaders Liverpool are tipped to sign PSV forward Hirving Lozano in the coming winter transfer window which reopens in coming days.

The Reds are in need of a backup in the attack and have identified the Mexico international as the best fit for the club owing to his style of play and ability to score goals.

Hirving Lozano started this season on a high note and has been impressive so far to have deserved the interest from top European sides including Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.

The 23-year-old is a major part of his PSV team and has contributed immensely since he joined the club in 2017 from Pachuca.

So far this season, Hirving Lozano has made 23 appearances across all competitions and has scored 13 goals in addition to 7 assists.

With a release clause of £40 million, Hirving Lozano’s contract with the Dutch club expires in 2023 but with the interests of these clubs, there are suggestions he would be leaving any time soon.

However, Liverpool are currently sitting on top in the Premier League table with four points ahead of second place Manchester City and they will be hoping to extend the lead in subsequent games so as to win their first major title in a long while.
