Three-time European champions Manchester United have received a huge blow in the race to sign Tanguy Ndombele following the news that Italian Serie A giants Napoli have emerged as frontrunners for his signature.
Tanguy Ndombele plays his club football for French Ligue 1 giants and Champions League campaigners Lyon at the moment.
The 21-year-old is attracting the interests of the best clubs on the European stage on the back of several impressive outings for Lyon in both the French Ligue 1 and the Champions League.
Tanguy Ndombele is one of the most sought-after young talents in European football.
Spanish champions Barcelona and the Premier League quartet of Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United have all been touted as possible transfer destinations for the young France midfielder.
Italian side Napoli are the favourites to sign him according to his agent Duro Ivanisevic.
He made the revelation in an interview with calcio Napoli 24 as he revealed that Lyon have already slapped a valuation of €80m on his client.
On the reason behind the choice of Napoli, Ivanisevic said that Tanguy Ndombele will be a better player under the guidance of Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti.
Tanguy Ndombele is a full France international after he made his debut for Les Blues against Iceland earlier this year.
