Italian Serie A champions Juventus are monitoring the situation of striker Romelu Lukaku at Manchester United as they see him as the long-term replacement for the ageing Mario Mandzukic.
This is according to the publication from popular Italian media outlet calciomercato.
It was revealed that Juventus are tracking Belgian international attacker Lukaku as the man to replace Mandzukic who’s in the twilight of his career at the age of 32.
Romelu Lukaku has not enjoyed the best of seasons at Manchester United in this campaign but that has not stopped the Old Lady from expressing an interest in the 25-year-old striker.
Lukaku had a very good World Cup tournament in Russia this summer after emerging as one of the topscorers with four goals.
He was a key member of the Belgium team that finished third at the 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
A lot of Manchester United fans expected him to continue in that rich form but the former Everton and Chelsea player has not lived up to those expectations.
He recently ended a 13-match goal drought in a 2-2 draw at Southampton in the Premier League earlier this month.
Romelu Lukaku has scored just six Premier League goals since the start of the season.
