Former Arsenal player Charlie Nicholas has urged the club to sign wantaway Paris Saint Germain (PSG) midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
The footballer turned pundit made this known while he was speaking on Soccer Saturday via popular English media portal Sky Sports News as he stated that Rabiot could be a possible replacement for Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil.
Charlie Nicholas also revealed that he’s a long-term admirer of French international star Adrien Rabiot.
Rabiot, 23, is said to be on his way out of PSG after the Frenchman failed to sign a new contract despite the fact that he has just six months left on his current deal.
The player has already informed senior PSG officials that he won’t be signing a new contract after turning down several offers from the club.
He has been frozen out of the PSG first team as a result.
Adrien Rabiot has been linked with several clubs like Spanish champions Barcelona and the Premier League trio of Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal.
The Gunners could offer him the opportunity to reunite with Unai Emery who was his manager at PSG for two years.
He could be the man to replace Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil who has been linked with an exit after failing to adapt to the methods of new manager Unai Emery.
