Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele wants to join compatriot Zinedine Zidane at Manchester United at the end of this season.
This is according to media outlet Don Balon which claimed that former Real Madrid boss Zidane has an offer on the table for him to become the next permanent manager at Manchester United following the dismissal of Jose Mourinho earlier this week.
Former Red Devils striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been placed in temporary charge of the team until the season.
The above-mentioned report claim that French international player Dembele would likely require a transfer fee or around €100m (£90m) for him to join Zinedine Zidane at Old Trafford next summer.
Zidane’s managerial stock rose at Real Madrid after leading the Champions League holders to three successive titles in Europe in addition to winning the 2016/17 Spanish La Liga title.
He’s no stranger to the qualities possessed by Ousmane Dembele who was part of the French team that won a second title at this summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
Dembele has been a controversial figure at Barcelona this season due to his disciplinary issues with widespread reports claiming that senior Barcelona officials may be ready to sell the 21-year-old forward if he does not clean up his act.
