It has been hinted that English Premier League side Liverpool will make a shock offer for Italian Serie A outfit Napoli winger Lorenzo Insigne in the winter transfer window which reopens in coming weeks.
According to reports, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of the star player and will have him join the Anfield anytime soon with a previous attempt made in the past.
So far this season, Lorenzo Insigne has had 15 games under his belt and has been able to find the back of the net 7 times in addition to 5 assists across all competitions he has played.
The report noted that the Reds have given up on the signature of Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele and would rather have Lorenzo Insigne come in ahead of the second half of the season.
However, it is unclear if Napoli will let their player leave before the end of his contract which runs until 2022 but there are suggestions that interested clubs should be ready to pay big for the player if they must have him this January.
Liverpool are already top in the Premier League table and will be seeking to retain the position until the end of the season.
