Arsenal have been usurped by London rivals Chelsea in the race to sign unsettled Real Madrid midfielder Isco Alarcon following the news that the Blues are preparing a bid for the Spaniard.
Isco has been the subject of interests from three Premier League clubs namely Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City.
The Sun via the Daily Express claim that the Blues are readying a £70m bid for Isco with a view to a transfer when the January window reopens in the next two weeks.
It was claimed that Chelsea want to sign Isco in the upcoming transfer window, while rivals Arsenal and Manchester City are prepared to wait till the summer.
The Blues are willing to pay Isco a whopping £250,000 on a weekly basis according to the aforementioned publication.
Isco Alarcon has not been able to light up the field of play in the Spanish La Liga like football stakeholders expected in the wake of the summer exit of Cristiano Ronaldo to Italian giants Juventus.
The 26-year-old has not been able to nail down a starting spot in the Real Madrid team this season and he’s said to be unsettled at the club.
Isco has featured in 11 out of the 16 games in the Spanish La Liga this season.
