German champions Bayern Munich are reportedly leading North London giants Arsenal in the race to sign highly rated AS Roma winger Cengiz Under just under two weeks before the start of the mid-season transfer window.
Sources close to popular media outlet ESPN claim that the Bavarian giants are in pole position for the Turkish international star.
It was revealed that Bayern Munich see the 21-year-old as a potential replacement for flying Dutch winger Arjen Robben who has already confirmed that he would be leaving the Allianz Arena at the end of this season.
The publication further stated that Under is keen on a move to the Premier League.
Cengiz Under is one of the hottest prospects on the European football scene.
He has been a key performer for the Italian capital club since he joined Roma from Turkish side Bursaspor at the start of last season.
The winger is rated at around €50m by Roma.
Under has scored two goals and provided four assists in 14 Italian Serie A appearances this season in addition to the return of the three goals and two assists in the Champions League.
AS Roma have already qualified for the first knockout stage of the competition where they will face Portuguese champions FC Porto.
