Spanish La Liga side Barcelona are reported to have entered the race for French Ligue 1 Lyon star Nabil Fekir with the hope of hijacking a deal for which has was initially believed to have been won by English Premier League side Liverpool.
The Camp Nou side are in search of a world class midfielder who can help create a link to their firing attack and have discovered Nabil Fekir as the perfect man for the job.
Nabil Fekir has been fantastic this season for his French side which gave him the attention he has got from a number of clubs.
The Reds were believed to be in pole position for the French international signature with the hope that he would be landed at the Anfield when the winter transfer window eventually reopens until the interests from Barcelona surfaced.
This, therefore, means that both sides will have to battle to win the signature of the French international.
With the 14 appearances under his belt, Nabil Fekir has scored 6 goals and handed 4 assists this season which makes the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal also monitor his situation at the French club.
However, Nabil Fekir has got a release clause of about £70 million and his contract with Lyon will run out in 2020.
