Juventus midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur has emerged as a possible transfer option for Premier League giants Manchester United ahead of the upcoming transfer window scheduled to start as from the 1st of next month.
Mediareferee say that the Uruguayan international star would bring stability to the Manchester United midfielder if the Red Devils can secure his transfer from the Italian champions.
He was previously linked with Manchester United and AC Milan before he joined Juventus as reported by Italian news outlet Calciomercato.
Rodrigo Bentancur has been in impressive form for Juventus since he returned from the World Cup.
The 21-year-old was part of the Uruguay squad that reached the quarterfinals at this summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
He played in all of the five Uruguay games at the tournament.
Bentancur and Uruguay crashed out of the tournament after they were beaten 2-0 by eventual champions France in their last eight clash.
The young midfielder signed for the Old Lady in the summer of 2017 after impressing in the colours of Argentinian giants and Copa Libertadores finalists Boca Juniors.
He didn’t get much playing opportunities in his debut season at Juventus but that changed after his World Cup outing.
He has been an important player for a Juventus side already in the first knockout round in this season’s Champions League.
Rodrigo Bentacur has also scored two goals and provided one assist in 13 Italian Serie A games to propel Juventus to the top of the table.
