Arsenal boss Unai Emery is now reported to be paying attention to want-away Chelsea defender Gary Cahill ahead of the winter transfer window which reopens in coming weeks.
The North London boss has admitted the possibility of adding a defender to his side following the injury of Rob Holding as he wishes to have a solution.
The Arsenal team are also believed to be lacking enough quality in the defence when compared to the attack as they have conceded as many goals as they have scored.
This makes it important for the club to have more additions and the boss is ready to take advantage of the availability of the former Bolton star to bolster his defence.
The Chelsea star has gone down the pecking order in the manager Maurizio Sarri team and he is willing to move ahead so as to secure more playing time elsewhere.
The star player is of the opinion that he has some number of years to play before his career runs out which must be well utilized.
However, the North London side stand a good chance knowing that Gary Cahill will fancy a stay in England instead of moving out of the English league where he has got a number of suitors.
