Premier League giants Manchester United have made progress in the bid to sign experienced Italian Serie A defender Kalidou Koulibaly ahead of the upcoming transfer market scheduled to begin as from next month.

The journalist was speaking on the Transfer Window Podcast.
Kalidou Koulibaly plays his club football for Italian Serie A giants Napoli at the moment.
The 27-year-old is widely regarded as one of the best defenders on the world football stage and he has emerged as a possible signing for Manchester United.
Journalist Duncan Castles ed that Manchester United have contacted Napoli about the availability of Senegalese international centre-back Koulibaly.
It was revealed that the Red Devils will have to pay more than €100m to prise Koulibaly away from Napoli when the transfer window reopens.
Kalidou Koulibaly has been a defensive stalwart for Napoli since he joined the Italians from Belgian champions Genk in the summer of 2014.
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has made Kalidou Koulibaly his top defensive target in the bid to improve the Red Devils’ ailing defence.
The former Premier League champions have conceded 26 goals in the first 16 games of the new league season.
