Premier League giants Manchester United are reportedly interested in a transfer for one of the most exciting wingers in the English second-tier division.
The report from the Daily Mail via the Daily Star says that Manchester United want to sign highly-rated winger Marcus Tavernier.
Marcus Tavernier plays for English Championship side Middlesbrough at the moment.
The 19-year-old has impressed a great deal for his team this season.
Marcus Tavernier has found the back of the net on three occasions in 11 appearances in the new campaign.
His performances have propelled Northeast club Middlesbrough to the sixth spot on the table and also attracted the attention of three-time European champions Manchester United.
The Red Devils are keen on a move for the exciting winger ahead of the upcoming transfer market scheduled to start as from the 1st of January but it remains to be seen whether Tony Pulis and Middlesbrough will want to sanction the sale of the player in the middle of the battle for Premier League promotion.
Former Stoke City and West Brom boss Tony Pulis is the Middlesbrough manager.
Young English winger Marcus Tavernier is expected to join the Manchester United U-23 team if the Red Devils manage to pull off his signing from Middlesbrough.
