Liverpool are no longer alone in their pursuit of German Bundesliga side Stuttgart French defender Benjamin Pavard if reports from Calciomercato is anything to go by.
According to the reports, the Reds will now face a battle from Bundesliga side Bayern Munich, Italian Serie A outfit Napoli and English side Tottenham as they have all indicated interest in the versatile defender.
The World Cup winner had a very outstanding last season for both the club and the national team which has also continued this season to have attracted the attention he has got.
Benjamin Pavard has been referred to as a versatile player because of his ability to play as a central defender as well as a right full-back which makes him a good addition for the Merseyside club would they succeed in their bid for him.
However, he has got an asking price of £35 million which will not be too much for the Reds to pay and has got age on his side as a 22-year-old star.
He is expected to give good competition for the Liverpool defence as he would be seeking to come ahead of former Southampton star Virgil Van Dijk as well as Joe Gomez who is currently injured.
