Italian giants hopeful on Chelsea star deal with fixed price

Italian Serie A giants AC Milan are hopeful of securing the signature Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas but will not be ready to pay more than £10 million in the coming winter transfer window.

Milan are desperate to have the former Barcelona star join the San Siro having identified him as an experienced and player of top quality that will help solve their midfield problem.

The Spaniard has severally voiced out his frustration at not being handed enough playing time by Italian manager Maurizio Sarri despite his confession that his age should not be an issue as he can still play more years of active football.

With Fabregas’ contract with the West London side running out at the end of the season, he has not been handed any new deal while negotiations are yet to be on the table for talks.

This hints that he is no longer needed at the Stamford Bridge and will have to move with the interest from the Italian side.

However, the major challenge in the deal will be the price to be paid for Fabregas with the Italian side insisting that they will not be interested any more should the English Premier League side request more than £10 million.
