Spanish La Liga outfit Real Betis have set an asking price for one of their key players ahead of the upcoming transfer window scheduled to begin on the 1st of January.
Real Betis defender Junior Firpo has grown to become one of the best left-backs on the Spanish La Liga scene since he broke into the first team in the last campaign.
His form has attracted the interests of several European clubs including Arsenal.
European heavyweights like Premier League champions Manchester City and Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona are also keen on a transfer for him.
Junior Firpo has scored three goals in 17 appearances in all competitions in the colours of Real Betis this season.
Spanish media portal AS say that a bid of around £40m will be enough to prise the left-back away from Real Betis.
Earlier reports had disclosed that the aforementioned clubs will have to activate the £43.5m transfer clause in his contract to sign him.
Junior Firpo, 22, played his best game for Real Betis recently when he scored one of the goals as his team stunned Champions League favourites Barcelona 4-3 in their one and only Spanish La Liga match this season.
The outcome is one of the surprise results of this season’s La Liga.
