English Premier League side Chelsea are looking to seal a deal for Shakhtar Donetsk striker Junior Moraes ahead of the winter transfer window which reopens in coming weeks.
The Blues are looking forward to having that competition in the team with Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud not in goalscoring form as they hope to mount pressure for the Premier League title after defeating league leaders Man City at the weekend.
The Brazilian has been tipped to be the best option for the job as he has got lots of qualities to give a good fight and deliver goals at the Stamford Bridge in the second half of the season.
According to reports, manager Maurizio Sarri is a big fan of the striker and will do all it takes within his power to convince the club management into having his signature come January.
This season alone, he has scored a total of 16 goals and made 7 assists in all competitions which is an impressive stat that no one has been able to acquire in the Chelsea team.
Although he has got a release clause of £5 million in his contract that will be due by 2020, suggestions are that Junior Moraes will only leave the club at a far higher price.
Arsenal 2 : 0 Chelsea – Three talking points from the game
The Gunners returned to winning ways as they thrashed Chelsea 2-0 to the Emirates stadium in one of Saturday’s Premier League game.
The Blues had defeated Arsenal in Emery’s first game of the season, Maurizio Sarri’s side narrowly overcame the Gunners’ challenge 2-1 at Stamford Bridge last year.
However, yesterday’s game was totally different from the previous fixture in August 2018 as the North London club dominated the Blues for the most part of the game.
Emery’s men deservedly took the lead in the 14th minute when Lacazette powered a beautiful shot past Kepa Arrizabalaga who was busy all through the clash.
The home side doubled their lead after 25 minutes when Laurent Koscielny scored with his shoulder.
The Blues were made to chase the game before half time and they couldn’t find the back of the net throughout the mouthwatering and entertaining game.
Here are the top three talking points from the game.
There’s more to Ozil’s omission than Emery’s ‘tactical reason’
It has been long I saw Ozil play a full match. It’s either he was subbed out or he was subbed in by Emery.
In fact, it’s been a while he featured in Arsenal kit and Emery keeps providing ‘tactical reasons’ for the player’s regular omission.
In a game that’s as classic as Saturday’s fixture, every Arsenal fans would expect the German star to be in the starting lineup so as to create more chances with his creativity.
But the former Real Madrid playmaker was surprisingly left out of the starting XI which further suggested that there are off-field crises between the player and the Spanish tactician.
Arsenal vs Chelsea – Three talking points
The Blues were defeated by Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, thanks to goals from Lacazette and Laurent Koscielny.
However, here are the concluding part of the top three talking points that emerged during the encounter.
Morata’s switch to Madrid is imminent after another omission
Alvaro Morata’s move away from Stamford Bridge dominated transfer podcasts during the week as it is believed he could be heading back to La Liga later in the month.
Many rumour mongers revealed Maurizio Sarri has reached an agreement with AC Milan for Gonzalo Higuain who will serve as Morata’s short-term replacement for the rest of the campaign.
Despite being in top and perfect condition prior to Saturday’s fixture, Sarri decided to leave the striker out of his travelling squad which means the Spaniard is partially out of Stamford Bridge.
Next week will decide whether the 26-year-old is set for Atletico Madrid’s move or not.
Unai Emery’s substitutions must improve
Emery’s substitution has left so much to be desired since the start of the season and Saturday wasn’t exempted.
The Spanish manager surprisingly subbed out lively Alexandre Lacazette for Alex Iwobi in the 67th minute, a decision that didn’t go well with the Gunners fans who voiced their displeasure against the ex-Sevilla manager.
Lacazette scored the first goal of the night and he troubled the Blues defence throughout the day, he deserves to full-time action.
Saturday wasn’t Aubameyang’s day as he was quiet all through the night. The Gabonese ought to have been taken off for Iwobi, not Lacazette.
Irrespective of the Result, Arsenal remain in the fifth position with 44 points but they are now three points behind Chelsea in the race for Champions League spot next season
Hazard sends “hold on” message to Real Madrid
It has been established that English Premier League outfit Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard could be on his way to Spanish La Liga outfit Real Madrid.
The Belgium international star Eden Hazard has refused to commit his future to the West London side which places him on the way out of the club.
A number of clubs came knocking for the star player having known his availability but the Bernabeu outfit seem to have won the race with claims that an agreement has already been reached with Eden Hazard.
According to Marca, Los Blancos seek Eden Hazard as a replacement for star player Cristiano Ronaldo who left the club at the end of the season to Italian Serie A outfit Juventus.
However, the latest report hints that the Belgium international is preparing to join the Spanish side but has told Madrid to keep it cool until the end of the season as he needed to concentrate on his game.
However, the West London side are already in search of a replacement for the Belgium international playmaker as they wish to bring in a new playmaker.
Meanwhile, the Blues are desperate to land a striker because of the lack of cutting edge in the team as Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata have run dry of goals.
Ex-Zenit chief reveals big Sarri ‘s secret in Paredes’s pursuit
It is no longer news that English Premier League outfit Chelsea are keen on the signature of Russia topflight outfit Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Leandro Paredes.
It is reported that a bid has been tabled by the West London side for the star midfielder with talks expected to be opened in coming days after an agreement has been reached between both parties.
According to the report, the Blues boss Maurizio Sarri is at the forefront of the push for Leandro Paredes and is ready to do all within his powers to have him join the Stamford Bridge.
However, former Zenit St Petersburg chief Oreste Cinquini revealed that the Chelsea boss has been a long term suitor of the star player.
According to him, the Italian boss made an attempt for Leandro Paredes when he was in charge at Napoli but the deal failed along the way as both sides failed to agree on terms.
The former Zenit’s sporting director Cinquini revealed that Argentina international went ahead to make the decision to join the Russian side, snubbing the English Premier League side.
However, talks with Zenit are ongoing with a deal expected to be sealed before this January winter transfer window.
Bad news for Sarri as Paris Saint-Germain join Leandro’s race
Paris St-German have reportedly joined Chelsea in the race to sign Zenit Saint Petersburg midfielder Leandro Paredes, that’s according Sky Sports.
The Blues were said to be interested in the star player this month as Sarri looks for Cesc Fabregas’ replacement but this report will surely be a disappointing one for him.
The Ligue 1 Champions are believed to have tabled a £31m offer for the Argentine player who joined the Russian side from Empoli in 2017.
Considering the free-spending nature of the Parc Des Princes outfits, Sarri stands a very slim chance of beating the French side to the player’s signature this month.
Thomas Tuchel’s side have their eyes on this year’s Champions League trophy and they are doing everything possible to achieve their ultimate goal, even if it cost them a whole lot of money.
They set a new record when former manager Unai Emery signed Neymar from Barcelona for £200m last winter but the Brazilian couldn’t help them progress to the semi-finals of the competition during the previous season.
Tuchel’s strikers are in fine form and they can score goals against any team in Europe, nonetheless, the manager believes there’s a need to upgrade his midfield setup before the competition resume next month.
As much as it appears the Blues will miss out on Leandro’s signature, it’s not over yet because Abramovich might add to his already-made £30m offer so as to defeat PSG in the race for the 24-year-old defensive /attacking midfielder.
25m-rated Chelsea player on his way to Juventus
English Premier League side Chelsea left full-back Emerson Palmieri is reported to be heading to the Italian Serie outfit Juventus in this winter transfer window.
Emerson Palmieri has been out of favour in the Blues team and he hopes to find a new life should a deal fall in place for him to the Italian Serie A outfit.
Juventus have big need for Emerson Palmieri and they hope to land him in this winter transfer window with manager Max Allegri keen to have him as a replacement for Leonardo Spinazzola who is currently in bad form.
Emerson Palmieri joined the West London die last summer for a fee of £18 million from another Italian Serie A outfit AS Roma but has yet to find enough expression in the Maurizio Sarri team knowing that he has not had enough time.
Despite seeing only 11 games so far and scoring a goal across all competition, Emerson Palmieri is tipped to be a big potential and he is expected to improve better when he secure regular playing time.
It is therefore unsure if the West London side will be ready to part ways with Emerson Palmieri at the moment know g that they have got big need for options in the team.
Confirmed!! Spain deal for Chelsea star collapses
It has been revealed that English Premier League side Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata will no longer leave the club for Spanish La Liga outfit Sevilla.
Alvaro Morata has been linked away from the Stamford Bridge as he has fallen out with manager Maurizio Sarri for his poor form which was no longer acceptable.
A number of suitors came knocking for the former Real Madrid player but Sevilla were believed to be leading in the race with Alvaro Morata’s agent flying in from Spain to hold discussions with tee Blues on the matter.
However, latest reports according to Sevilla chief Joaquin Caparros reveal that a move for Alvaro Morata collapsed as talks were not successful between both clubs.
It was hinted that the deal failed to fall through as a result of financial commitment which the Spanish side cannot afford for the star player.
This, therefore, means that Alvaro Morata will remain at the West London side or rather have a move to other destination should an offer be made.
Meanwhile, the West London side are believed to be preparing the announcement of Argentina international striker Gonzalo Higuain who will come in to replace Alvaro Morata at the Stamford Bridge.
Liverpool, Chelsea to fight for Italian striker
English Premier League duo, Liverpool and Chelsea have emerged as potential clubs for Italian Serie A outfit Lazio striker Ciro Immobile, with both sides hoping to finalize a deal for him before the end of the winter transfer window.
Reports in Italy claim that the Premier League duo have made their interest known with negotiations about to be opened in coming days.
Chelsea are expected to part ways with Spanish striker Alvaro Morata and they have been keen to land a cover for him with Ciro Immobile emerging as a target.
So far, Ciro Immobile has been able to score 80 goals in 112 appearances for the Italian Serie A side which makes him one of the best strikers in the league from the past season.
Ciro Immobile has had 35 caps for the Italian national team and has been able to pull 13 goals as well which gives him the right credentials to fit into the Premier League big guns.
Suggestions are that Liverpool are placed at a better advantage knowing that they currently sit top in the Premier League table and stand the chance of winning a title but the West London side have continued to struggle to seal their fourth position for a Champions League qualification.
Chelsea to conclude midfield maestro deal
It has been reported that English Premier League outfit Chelsea are closing in on a deal for Zenit St. Petersburg star midfielder Leandro Paredes and could have the deal completed in coming days.
Leandro Paredes’ name has just begun to ring after his link with the West London side as he was earlier not a popular name with the Blues keen on his signature.
The West London side have list Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas who has joined French Ligue 1 outfit Monaco and they seek to replace him.
Leandro Paredes has been described as a perfect replacement for the former Barcelona and Arsenal player.
He is known to have perfect positioning and has the aggression to protect the team at the middle in addition to having the ability to link the defence with the attack with his acute passes.
Leandro Paredes has so far won 38 tackles and made 24 interceptions for his Russian side which is a major factor that has attracted the Blues side to wanting to secure his signature.
It is therefore not sure if an agreement for Leandro Paredes would be reached knowing that his side are not ready to part ways with him at the moment.
Chelsea keen on Heerenveen winger
English Premier League outfit Chelsea are reported to be monitoring Heerenveen winger Arber Zeneli and could make a move for him before this January winter transfer window comes to an end.
Arber Zeneli will be out of contract with his club in June which makes him available this winter with no talks of a new deal on the table for him at the moment.
Should Heerenveen refuse to have the Kosovo international, 23 leave before the end of this month, they risk the chance of losing him for free at the end of the season with the keen interest coming from the West London side for him.
The West London side are on the verge of losing their star player and Belgium international Eden Hazard which makes Arber Zeneli a good fit knowing that he has got age on his side and has shown good prospect.
However, the Blues are reportedly preparing scouts to send to watch his game against Ajax this weekend so as to make a final decision on him.
The Blues will face a number of competitions from English Premier League sides as they are all keen to land the player as well.
Suggestions are that Arber Zeneli will not hesitate to jump into an offer from the West London side when it is finally tabled.
